For decades, Calvary Church of the Valley has been a place where worship rises, prayer deepens, and community thrives. From serving families in Paradise Valley to commissioning missionaries around the world, CCV remains dedicated to advancing the Gospel and transforming lives through the love of Christ.
Origin
Originally, the property at 6107 N Invergordon Road was named the Desert Lodge. The Lodge was built as a retreat facility consisting of casitas, a dining hall, horse facilities, a pool, and meeting areas. The property came to the market in 1968 and was purchased by a group seeking a church home.
The town of Paradise Valley recognized Calvary Church of the Valley as a place of historical significance. The congregation was awarded a plaque and a declaration of historical importance. 1. The Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (Exodus 24:12, Leviticus 26:46, Joshua 1:6-9, Psalm 19:7-11, Psalm 119:9-16, Isaiah 40:1-8, Matthew 24:32-35, Luke 24:24-27, John 1:14, Ephesians 6:11-18, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, Hebrews 4:12-13, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons (Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:18-20, Galatians 4:4-6, 1 John 4:1-3) Father (1 Corinthians 8:4-6, Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Isaiah 63:15-16, Exodus 3:13-14) Son (John 8:48-59, John 10:22-33, John 14:1-7, Colossians 1:15-19) and Holy Spirit (Job 32:6 & 33:4-6, John 3:3-8, Acts 5:1-4, Romans 8:12-17).

In the deity of The Lord Jesus Christ, His: eternal existence (John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:15-20), virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:26-33), sinless life (John 19:4, 1 Peter 2:22, 1 John 3:5), miracles (Matthew 4:23, Mark 1:34, Luke 4:40, John 20:30-31), vicarious death and atonement through His shed Blood (Hebrews 9:22, 2 Corinthains 5:21, Colossians 1:19-23), bodily resurrection (John 2:19, Acts 3:15, 2 Timothy 2:8-9, 1 Corinthains 15:3-8), ascension to the right hand of the Father, (Luke 24:51, Mark 16:19, Acts 1:9-11), present priestly ministry (Hebrews 4:14-16), imminent personal return in power and glory (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18), and present and everlasting dominion (Matthew 28:18, Philippians 2:9-11).
4. Salvation has been provided by Jesus Christ (Acts 4:10-12, Ephesians 2:13-16) for everyone (John 3:16, 2 Peter 3:9). Those who repent and believe in Him (Mark 1:15) are born again (John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:3-5,) of the Holy Spirit (John 3:5), receive the gift of eternal life (John 3:36 John 5:24) and become the children of God (Romans 8:14-17, 1 John 3:1-3).
5. Divine healing is obtained on the basis of the atonement through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (Ezekiel 47:1-12, John 19:31-34, 1 John 5:5-8, Revelation 22:1-2, Acts 3:1-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, James 5:14-16)
6. Water baptism by immersion (Matthew 3:13-17, Acts 8:36-39) is for the believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-16) bearing witness to Christ’s death (Colossians 2:11-12), burial (Romans 6:3-5), and resurrection (1 Peter 3:21-22) for us, and our own new life in Him (1 Corinthians 12:12-13).
7. Communion, shared by all believers (1 Corinthians 11:23-26), witnesses to the death of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 26:26-29), the saving power of the gospel (Mark 14:22-25), Christ’s presence in His church (John 6:48-59), and anticipation of His victorious return (Luke 22:14-22, Revelation 19:7-8).
8. In the resurrection (John 11:17-27) of both the saved (Matthew 22:23-33, 1 Corinthians 15:13-21) and the lost (John 5:28-29).: the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life (Romans 6:5, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Peter 1:3) and the lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment (Matthew 25:46, Revelation 21:8).
9. The Holy Spirit is the third member of The Trinity (Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14) . Every believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit (John 20:22, Ephesians 5:18) and wholly sanctified (Romans 15:15-16, 1 Corinthians 6:11), separated from sin and worldliness (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) and fully dedicated to God. We affirm the indwelling, or baptism (Mark 1:8, John 3:34), of The Holy Spirit as on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4), and in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit (John 14:26, 16:12), as evidenced in charismatic gifts and ministry (1 Corinthians 12:1-11), the fruit of The Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) in the life of the believer, and power for holy living (Acts 1:8, Romans 15:13) and effective service (Romans 8:26).
10. God calls a people, the church (Matthew 16:13-18), for Himself and sends them out into the world (Matthew 28:19-20) to be His servants (Acts 6:1-4) and witnesses for the building up of Christ’s body (Romans 16:1-2), the extension of His Kingdom (Acts 15:22), and the glory of His name (Acts 12:1-5). Therefore, church attendance (Hebrews 10:23-25), evangelistic fervor (2 Timothy 4:5), and missionary endeavor (Acts 21:19) are central to a normal Christian life.
11. It is the Father’s will (1 Thessalonians 4:3-8) that a believer should become whole (2 Corinthians 5:17-18) and therefore the church is called to minister to the whole person spiritually (Matthew 18:15-17), physically (James 5:14), mentally (2 Timothy 1:7) and socially (1 Corinthians 5:1-13), and both to those who are inside and outside of the church (Ephesians 4:11-12).
12. Sanctification (Hebrews 10:11-14), holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:3-8), and the overcoming life (Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 4:17-24, Philippians 2:17-19) through the enablement of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 2 Thessalonians 2:13) is God’s design for the Church (John 17:13-19, 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24), which is the Bride of Christ (Revelation 21:2, 21:9).
